The Dot is a 2003 picture book composed and shown by Peter H. Reynolds about a young lady named Vashti who finds her imaginative ability. When she reveals to her educator, the instructor advises her “make an imprint and see where it takes you.” Vashti draws a spot on her paper, and her instructor at that point says “now sign it.” The following week she is amazed to see her speck confined in plain view in the educator’s office. Seeing her speck, she says “I can improve a spot than that.” She at that point starts drawing intricate, bright dabs and acknowledges she is in fact an artist.Later in life she sees a kid who can’t draw a straight line, and this outcomes in an entirely different adventure.The Dot has been adjusted into a film created by Weston Woods Studios and FableVision. It was granted the 2005 Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Children’s Video.[1]
