Sounds trumped up to me. I’m a nurse and a huge patient advocate, we walk a fine line daily as a hospital employee, while putting our patients care first. You obviously have never worked in a hospital. Even staff RN’s are required to look at charts belonging to people not in their care, in order to perform mandatory peer reviews of their charting, etc. And Kaiser has been notorious for years for doing things on the cheap. This nurse most likely did nothing wrong. She is being railroaded by a corrupt system, as happens when good little nurses “step out of place” to protect the patients.
Speak out or grow old, the new Administration will find a way to fire you. Like Sutter, who eliminated that female officers position while she was fighting for our country so they could get around holding her job. Shameful Various departments – people not providing direct patient care – do audit and review charts all the time. Unless she was snooping only on fellow employees, a good attorney should be able to make a good case for her actions.
